This last Saturday was Reuben's last day off for awhile where he won't be just catching up on sleep or studying so we decided to go on a family outing. We were going to go to the San Diego zoo where we have season passes, but we didn't feel like driving. In fact, I didn't feel like driving at all! We decided to ride our bikes to Balboa island and Balboa penisula and the pier. We started getting ready after lunch but didn't leave until 4 pm, just an hour before sunset! Needless to say, it was an adventure riding those last 6-7 miles home in the pitch dark! We met friends at the "Fun Zone" (which really isn't that fun- just some old amusement park rides and restaurants.) and ate sushi. It was a great family outing- one we won't forget. But hopefully Ariana will forget how much she hated wearing her helmet!

Why does Arianna hate her helmet? She looks so cute! I'm glad you guys were able to get out together. You've inspired me to try to get to the beach on Saturday if the weather was nice as today. I don't think we're gonna bike, though.
